The Teenz Committee (comm for short) is made up of Teenz serving God in various positions ("portfolios").

The different portfolios & their descriptions are listed below.

The Web Committee

The website you are currently looking is under the charge of the Web Committee. This website is mainly used for the publicity of up-coming events for cTeenz on the web.

Other interesting information and media can also be found on this website including some hymns and praises and news about past events!

The Web Committee is in-charge of keeping the Website up-to-date, informing the Teenz about both past and upcoming events, as well as doing (almost) everything related to the online extension of cTeenz!

The Projects Committee

The Projects committee is a relatively new committee set up in the year 2006. The Committee is in-charge of upcoming projects such as the recent cupboard re-organising and is also in charge of other duties such as the organising of events such as the annual Kite Flying Day.

The Evangelical Committee

Duties & Aims:
  • To tell others of the gospel message, whether it be to fellow teens, to strangers, or to unsaved friends
  • To teach others how to share the gospel and to share their experiences and lessons
  • To bring teens closer to Christ so that they too will in time have a passion for souls and show it through their testimony.
Past Projects
  • Bookmark highlighting key points of salvation
  • Newcomer's package

The Birthday/Directory Committee

Imagine you need to call someone from Teenz but you don't have his telephone number. What do you do? With the Directory contact cards, everyone's phone numbers are all in your pocket. There's also an A-4 size directory also shows everybody's contact details including their e-mails, birthdays, schools, etc.

You will also never feel lonely during your birthday month too. The Birthday-Directory Comm would also give a small present to everyone during the month of his/her birthday.

Well that's all about the comm..

The Care Committee

Imagine this...

You come into the conference room. You’ve never been here before. You don’t really know what is this ‘TeenZ’ all about in the first place. You’ve come because your aunt/mom/grandma etc comes to the main service. You wait, feeling like a wallpaper as no one bothers to engage with you in a conversation, and see the various groups of teens chit-chat with each other, ignoring you...

How’s that for unfriendly? Without the Welcoming Committee , that will happen in each and every case of a newcomer Teen coming in.

The welcoming committee will be the first bunch of people who reach out to the newcomer, and ensures he/she feels right at home. The welcome committee tells the newbie exactly what goes on in TeenZ, what classes we have, what exactly is a TeenZ Retreat, and what we do during YPC practices. Each newcomer will also be given a teenz card, which has all the information about teenZ on it.

Now, what about if the Teen comes for TeenZ classes…but when there’s say, Retreat the next Sunday and he either does not know about it, or doesn’t really want to go in the first place. That’s where Attendance and Visitation comes in. Working hand in hand, Attendance takes note of those Teenz who don’t really come for Teenz retreats, or activities, and passes the list to Visitation, who starts to persuade the Teen to come.

So, that's basically the Care Committee, making sure everyone feels welcome and at home! Laughing

The Retreat Committee

The Teenz Retreat is held on the third Sundays of the month at a teen’s home. There will be a time of singspiration, and a message, followed by a time of prayer, sharing, games and eating.

Things done in the Retreat Comm include:

  • Finding a host and venue for the retreat each month. Teenz either volunteer their houses, or they are approached by the retreat comm.
  • Booking a bus to fetch Teenz to and from church
  • Placing an announcement in the church weekly so that parents can be informed as to the details of the retreat (address and speaker etc)
  • Buying a cake for the mini birthday celebration for people born in the particular month
  • Finding a chairperson/song leader to lead in a short time of singspiration before the message
  • Finding a games leader to organize games to be played during retreat.
  • Finding a discussion leader to discuss about the topic after the message.

All teens are strongly encouraged to join us for a blessed time of fellowship and spiritual feeding.
